Howell, Howell & Krause is a law firm established in 1935 with an office in Honesdale, PA. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing civil litigation, criminal law, federal practice and 10 other areas of law.
For my large retainer, the end result was his acceptance of the defense offered by the person I was suing after a few telephone calls. I felt that for the amount of his work involved, at least a partial refund of my retainer should have been forthcoming.

They Never provided a quote, written fee schedule, contract or anything. Out of no where I received an outrageous bill. They sued me for it when I refused to pay. Then threatened to keep appealing to make me keep flying in from Florida knowing I am disabled. They Were investigated for unethical practices and committed unethical practices. I had to settle with this terrible and certainly UnChristian Law firm. Avoid this law firm at all costs!!!!!
After my mom passed i asked about the probate process. I was told they would gather the numbers of my mothers worth and we would go from there. After they gathered the info they mailed the tax return and bill for $21k. They never presented a fee agreement. I refused to pay. They sued me for the $21k. Howell told us even if we win the scheduled arbitration hearing he will keep appealing to make me waste money on attorney and travel fees. Im disabled and live in FL. Unethical being investigated.
