For my large retainer, the end result was his acceptance of the defense offered by the person I was suing after a few telephone calls. I felt that for the amount of his work involved, at least a partial refund of my retainer should have been forthcoming.
After my mom passed i asked about the probate process. I was told they would gather the numbers of my mothers worth and we would go from there. After they gathered the info they mailed the tax return and bill for $21k. They never presented a fee agreement. I refused to pay. They sued me for the $21k. Howell told us even if we win the scheduled arbitration hearing he will keep appealing to make me waste money on attorney and travel fees. Im disabled and live in FL. Unethical being investigated.
