I have never had to hire a lawyer for any reason before. This experience left my family feeling like we "wasted our money". This was more a civil situation that we wanted representation for. Our lawyer took advantage of or inexperience, and clocked in more time spent that was really needed. There was too many unnecessary phone calls we were being charged for, and a few made while our lawyer was driving to personal engagements. Our lawyer didn't seem to be good steward of our time and dollar. There were also too many factual errors we had to correct after reviewing correspondence to be sent. The fact that we ha to pay for this is nothing short of disappointing. We cannot recommend CGA based on our less than satisfactory experience.

I'm really baffled that this place stays in business.They ignored 2 calls when I was trying to pay my retainer and it never got better.I had to repeatedly threaten to leave to get responses (I fired my attorney once when he missed a deadline and didn't call back; magically I got a reply in 2 hour!Utterly shameless).If you hire them, relentlessly spam them with messages or you will be ignored.Remind them constantly of what you want, as they're very forgetful. Better yet, go to a competent firm.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.
