About J. Allen Fiorletta

J. Allen Fiorletta has been an attorney since 1988 and has practiced in Grand Rapids since 2000. Mr. Fiorletta's career path began as an associate attorney in Michigan's largest and most prestigious law firm after graduating at the top of his law school class. Allen started his own Firm in 1991. Allen's clients and cases have made local, state and national headlines. Prior to becoming an attorney Allen served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After becoming an attorney Allen also served as a firefighter in East Grand Rapids. Allen was award Michigan Businessman of the Year in 2005 and Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year in 2007. I needed a divorce attorney and I needed one that I felt like I could trust. From the minute I called Mr. Fiorletta, he showed a genuine concern, not only for my case but for my personal safety. He was so easy to work with and what I appreciated the most was the fact that he actually answers his phone! None of my calls / texts went unanswered and to be honest, he would reach back out to me the same day, normally within the hour. Divorce is not pleasant, but it's so much easier when you have someone like Mr. Fiorletta in your corner.

I hired J. Allen Fiorletta to handle my expungement of 2 felonies from over 24 yrs ago, after unsuccessfully being able to accomplish this through another attorney and myself. From the start, I knew that Mr. Fiorletta was the right attorney to handle my expungement hearing and case. He proved to be very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and responsive to all my questions and inquires from start to finish.

Very quick to get back to me anytime I had a question. Also answered any question I had, no matter how dumb of a question it was. He was very knowledgeable. First time ever hiring a lawyer and I’d have to say the price is a bit much however he will work with you on almost any payment plan you want and it was very simple to pay in a way that fit my budget.

Allen was extremely friendly and easy to work with. He kept the process of my divorce moving along as it should. He was very responsive. I received documents and he send documents to my exes lawyer in a timely manner. I was overall satisfied with his service.

BE NOT DECEIVED BY THIS CON MAN!!!!! He charges a flat, non-refundable fee of $5,000 right off the bat, promising to do everything he can to help you. Well, for that price, one would expect $5,000 worth of work done on their behalf. ALLEN DID NOTHING. He moved Heaven and Earth to see that he got his money, but when it came down to business, he used a variety of stall tactics to avoid having to get a court date set and when he finally DID get a court date set, it was too late. He didn't even have the basic courtesy to contact my fiance or myself to tell us that he wouldn't even be proceeding with our case. We contacted him a day or two before we expected to be in court, just so that we could go over everything with him, and that's when he decided to tell us that he was done with us. He did absolutely nothing to warrrant $5,000 worth of work, I was actually the one who did all of the research, fact-finding, etc. He was utterly useless to us. He is a piece of human garbage.

I accepted Mr. Fiorletta as my lawyer to assist me through the legal process of my case. He was more pricey than other lawyers I had contacted, but I explained to him that I was willing to pay more because I couldn't afford to lose my driver's license. He allowed me to make payments, which I appreciated at the time, but looking back I have no idea what I really paid him for. He initially seemed knowledgeable about my case, but then told me one thing and let me believe one thing, and completely changed it later on in my case, leading me to firmly believe he did not know what he was doing.
