About Amir Hassan Sadaghiani

Amir Hassan Sadaghiani has been the Managing Partner of Ostrer & Sadaghiani, P.C. since April 2022. Prior to forming the firm with his law partner, Benjamin Ostrer, Amir had been an attorney with Ostrer & Associates, P.C. since October 2014. He was promoted to Senior Associate in January 2021. Prior to entering private practice, he served the people of Orange County as an Assistant District Attorney since December 2006. While serving in the Orange County District Attorney's Office, he investigated, prosecuted, and tried numerous cases to verdict involving the crimes of murder, vehicular assault, arson, assault, intimidating a witness, robbery, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, possession and sale of narcotics and marihuana, driving while intoxicated and larceny. Mr. Sadaghiani was assigned to the Special Investigations Unit where he oversaw the District Attorney's Office's wiretaps. He also was assigned to the Major Crimes On-Call Panel where he responded to the scene of homicides and assisted in the beginning stages of investigation.

Mr. Sadaghiani is a member of the New York State Bar and is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has served as a mock trial coach and was the attorney coach for the 2008 Port Jervis High School Orange County championship team.

Amir was raised in the Town of Deerpark and graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1999. He graduated in 2003 from Bucknell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a minor in American Politics. At Bucknell, Mr. Sadaghiani served as both Student Body President and Student Body Vice-President of Finance. He served as chair of the Bucknell Community Judicial Board and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. In 2006, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School. At Notre Dame, Mr. Sadaghiani served as Student Body President and was co-captain of the Moot Court Trial Team. At Commencement, he was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for distinguished achievement in the art of advocacy, the Judge Joseph E. Mahoney Award for outstanding leadership and the Captain William O. McLean Law School Community Citizenship Award.

Mr. Sadaghiani resides in the Town of Goshen.

Amir Sadaghiani was a true light during what could have been the darkest time in my life. I was being charged with a C violent felony that involved a loaded gun. Amir was able to make a deal with the District Attorney that resulted in the charge being reduced to disorderly conduct, my bail money back, and a chance to live my life a free man. You honestly can not put a price on the level of professionalism that comes when Amir represents you. He answers any questions you have day or night and is always upfront and honest. For these reasons, Amir will be the first lawyer I call if I am ever in need of his services.

I had a very pleasant experience working with Amir, I cannot say enough about my experience, In the end I received a favorable outcome. Most importantly Amir made me feel at ease, during a time of crisis and uncertainty. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and always there to answer any questions you may have along the way. Our son was in deep trouble and we needed expert legal help immediately. We contacted Amir who walked us through all of the details of the case along with potential outcomes and his assessments as to what was likely to occur. Amir always returned our calls when we had questions or wanted updates. He knows the ins and outs of the law, the inner workings of the court system and most of the people involved. In the end, Amir was able to drastically reduce the charges and our son was released from jail way earlier than expected. Quality legal help is not cheap, you get what you pay for. In our case, Amir was worth every penny!
