Scheef & Stone, L.L.P. is a law firm established in 1992 with an office in Frisco, TX. At this office location, there are 17 lawyers practicing banking law, bankruptcy, business law and 17 other areas of law.

John defended my pool company in large patent litigation suit that was critical to the future of my company. We won the case on summary judgment and forced the plaintiff to remove false patent marking on their products. Mr. Wallace is a wonderful attorney. He is very smart, very thorough and very patient. We were really impressed that he could summarize the whole 2 year long case case after our first meeting! He helped our organization against a very large company in a law suit with fictitious allegations and we are very happy with the outcome. He could have easily extended the law suit billing us for many more hours, but gave us right advice and shortened it by mediation. I will hire him again and again!

To anyone considering this firm: Be sure to get an agreement up front of fees. I found myself being billed well over twice what was discussed up front. I am very sure I was taken advantage of. Just be sure you don't end up in the same situation. The solution was nearly as expensive as the problem.
My former employer hired Sheef and Stone to represent myself and my former employer. This individual assigned to my case, treated the case as if it were known that it could be easily billed for maximin hours towards my employer and easily settled the same. I was dismissed and haven’t thought of it for years. I recently learned about leaked confidential information involving my case and my name from a source at an establishment very close to the downtown Dallas office that is frequented by associates of this firm. Embarrassing and unfortunate.
These guys do NOT not what they are doing in regards to handling an LLC dispute AT ALL! I did retain them. In the course of their "work" for my LLC they gave me bad information on at least 3 different occasions. They would suggest what needs to be done moving forward and then turn right around and say we can't do that, inferring that you do not know what you are talking about, especially Brent Kugler and Chris Quillin. Again, on another occasion, same thing, they would advise the way we should handle a certain element to the LLC dispute and turn right around and say, we can't do that or simply change up the advise they were giving me, which was telling me that they did not know what they were doing!!! I would advise anyone looking to retain them for LLC dispute instruction to look elsewhere OR you can waste your money with these guys!!!
