Mike's academic foundation was laid at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned a degree in International Business with a minor in Spanish. He furthered his education at Southern Methodist Dedman School of Law, graduating in 2012. Throughout his time at law school, Mike distinguished himself by being selected to and competing on the SMU Mock Trial Team for all four semesters of eligibility. His exceptional performance earned him several awards both on and off campus, and he was recognized with the honor of being selected to the Order of the Barristers.
Embarking on his legal career, Mike initially worked for an oil and gas firm. In this role, he gained invaluable experience and a deep understanding of property rights and ownership interests. Subsequently, he joined a litigation firm, where he honed his litigation skills under the guidance of highly successful attorneys. Mike's proficiency extends across various areas, including advising and representing clients in divorce and child custody cases, debt claim cases, ADA claims, and other civil disputes.
Continuously expanding his expertise, Mike ventured into estate planning and probate, assisting hundreds of clients in preparing their estates for a secure future. Despite his multifaceted legal practice, Mike remains deeply involved in courtroom proceedings, dedicating a significant portion of his time to attending hearings, arguing motions, and representing clients at trial.
