Mr. Mallonee is AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings service, which evaluates lawyers and law firms in the United States and Canada. Ratings are based on the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary, including both those who are rated and those who are not. There are two components to Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings:

1. The General Ethical Standards Rating denotes adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics, reliability, diligence and other criteria relevant to the discharge of professional responsibilities. The General Recommendation Rating is: V - Very High. A lawyer must receive a General Ethical Standards Rating before his or her review can proceed to the next step.

2. Legal Ability Ratings take into consideration the standard of professional ability in the area where the lawyer practices, the lawyer's expertise, and other professional qualifications. If a lawyer's practice is limited or specialized, an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating is indicative of preeminent ability in that particular field.

Mr. Mallonee is board certified in criminal trial law, which recognizes attorneys' special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism and ethics in practice.

Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Established in 1982 by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification helps consumers identify specialists in various areas of law.

Mr. Mallonee was destined to become a criminal defense lawyer all along. He was making creative arguments soon after he could talk. He studied criminology as an undergraduate at the University of Florida. He worked as a licensed private investigator when he was 19 years old. During that time his employer was contracted to do criminal investigations for the public defender's office. This is where he learned to pound the pavement and find witnesses that were vital to the mounting of a defense. He also interned with the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. researching federal criminal legal problems that helped inform policy makers about key issues.

In 1995, Mr. Mallonee accepted an invitation to attend one of the top law schools in the country, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. While attending SMU, he was given the opportunity to be part of a select group to study the law in Oxford, England for a summer. He also participated in the Criminal Clinic program during his third year at SMU, representing people accused of crimes while still in law school. After graduating in the top half of his class, Mr. Mallonee passed the bar exam and moved back to his hometown of Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Mallonee took a job as an assistant public defender in vero beach in 1999. He was transferred to the fort pierce office a year later and represented thousands of clients in his 3+ years with the Public Defender's Office. After completing his Jedi training at the Office of the Public Defender, he moved on to private practice at the beginning of 2003, opening the Law Office of Brian H. Mallonee.

These days, when he's not conducting an investigation, researching a motion, or making arguments in the courtroom, Brian enjoys playing golf, watching football, and 'family time'.

Brian and his team are AMAZING! There isn't enough stars to be able to give them and nobody else I would recommend. My son was falsely accused of crimes he did not commit and this team was on top of every last detail. The opposing side did not even make it half way through and they dropped the case. I can never thank Cassandra enough for taking every last one of my phone calls some even twice a day. They took their time to find every last detail proving my sons innocence. Not once did this team make my family and I feel not important or that we were not their top priority. We loved that Brian is 100% straightforward and honest with every move of our case. He told us what the worst could be and the outcome we were going for at all times. Thank you so much for all of your support, patience, and help we can finally sleep again.
