I worked with Julia on a dependency case. The case was a mess from the start and I needed a lawyer that wasn’t just going to defend me but also set the record start as to that what I was being accused of was totally unwarranted and had no factual backing. Julia so how the case was a mess and had no problem diving in and getting everything straightened out. She was extremely responsive with me when I had issues throughout the case and most importantly she was able to clearly get my point across and was able to get others to see all of the unjust actions that were happening to me then getting the court to have it stopped. She was a absolute life saver. One thing I noticed when speaking to her during my consultation she had a coffee mug that said “not gentle like a flower, gentle like a bomb” I understand now why that was there. I hired Julia for my divorce and found it to be a horrible experience. She was always so rude to me, and never felt like she was on 'my side'. Very negative and definitely not uplifting. Actually, honestly - I found her to slightly gas-light me at points. I would hire someone else if I got a 'do-over'.
I hired Bill Kramer while attempting to buy a small business. He wrote a 4 page LOI. The 4th page only attempting to secure ongoing relationship with seller and I to be agreed to by seller. He billed appropriately for that time and left for 2 week vacation. I exchanged 6 emails with seller's side while Bill was gone and the deal did not move forward. Bill called upon returning from vacation and we spoke for less than 10 minutes. I later received a bill for 1.6 hours totaling more than $800. When I twice asked him for an explanation and or clarity for the additional time. He refused tp give detail, stated that they were summarized bills. I explained that there could not have been that much time spent as he was on vacation and we had only talked for 10 minutes and he simply stated again that it was summarized time and I must pay. Very questionable billing practices????
If you want to drag your divorce on for years and dish out hundreds of thousands of dollars, this is the attorney for you.
This attorney was terrible! She does not return calls, does not prepare for conference calls, over charges, untrustworthy, contacts the other attorney & is sneaky. She over charges & under delivers. All she cares about is the money not your issues that she was hired to take care of.
