I believe Mr. Fleisig sent me a cease-and-desist letter primarily to intimidate and silence me rather than to resolve any legitimate dispute. The statements made by counsel are materially false or misleading, unsupported by evidence, and appear designed to chill lawful speech and coerce compliance through threat rather than good-faith advocacy. Despite my good-faith efforts to clarify the issues and resolve the matter directly, counsel did not respond to my email or telephone outreach. The letter treats disagreement and criticism as defamation per se, which is an improper use of legal threats to suppress speech. The tone and structure of the letter suggest its purpose was to frighten and silence rather than resolve a dispute. The demands are overbroad, including a directive to“refrain from contacting third parties,”which would improperly restrict lawful communications. I filed a grievance against Mr. Fleisig with New Jersey for his presumed abuse of his legal license.
