My first time hiring an attorney and I was hopeful after our first meeting. I was given documents with my name repeatedly spelled wrong, financial information not accurately captured after painstakingly given in prior meetings, repeatedly going over a seperation agreement that was never accurately updated with spousal support and finally to the court date where I was asked if I was happy with my counsel. I lied and said yes in fear of my case being thrown out. Documents that should of been signed and given to the court prior to my court date were signed during court and we waited twenty minutes for this lawyer to scan to the Judge. We were alone in the court with the Judge waiting on this lawyer. My fear was the Judge would dismiss our case. In conclusion I waited almost three weeks for my final decree that probably sat on his desk and only after repeated calls from me did I receive it. Do research and find a good lawyer. I wasted my $5K on him. I could of represented myself
