What can we do if my father left his condo to me in his will and his wife won’t let me in to get his belongings?

Answered by attorney Steven Solomon Fluhr (Unclaimed Profile)
Estate Planning lawyer at Fluhr & Moore, LLC
You will need to probate his will in order to get the condo. You will need the services of an attorney and I suggest you go as soon as possible. If you do not open the estate timely, you may have a problem getting the condo.

What do I do to find out if my deceased parents had a will?

Start searching many and all places your parents may have stored their documents, and check with the lawyer who drafted the will if you know. I know of people storing their will in the garage or wood shed or attic or basement or bank or with a trusted friend or family member.

Is there anything I can do to stop eviction as I have power of attorney for my boyfriend?

Answered by attorney Christine James
Estate Planning lawyer at James Law Group
You have asked this question and you keep waiting to take action. Hire an attorney or live with the outcome. If the house is your boyfriends, you should not be evicted and you need to take action before it is too late.
