Can he get the house back like he is claiming and can he put me in troubles?

If your name is on the deed the only way you can lose it is if you fail to pay taxes or if there is a mortgage and you don't pay that, or any other bill or judgment against you. Other than that you would have to sign a deed transferring it to someone else unless someone were to forge your name.

Do I have to pay dead husbands bills in his name only?

A spouse is not responsible for their deceased spouses individual debts. If the surviving spouse is not a joint account holder on the account such as a credit there is no liability. Also, if you used his credit that may be problematic. However, if your husband passed away and had assets in his individual name without a beneficiary, joint owner or not in a trust and the asset has to go through probate then creditors will need to be notified and they may have an opportunity to get paid. I hope this helps.

You should open a probate to distribute the estate assets. After you open your probate, you can make sure that the home is distributed correctly. You should consult a probate attorney at sgarciavidal@garciavidallaw.com.   Thank you.
