You are generally not liable for your husband's debts. The problem is that all of your assets are commingled, so a claim against him might also be asserted against you. For example, an income tax refund check can be garnished for one spouse's child support arrearages. You should speak with an attorney to try to protect yourself.

The suggestion in your question is that your uncle's daughter is the administrator of the estate. If so, you would have a claim against the estate - subject to its timely filing with the probate court. If she is not the administrator, you would have a claim against her personally.
