How do I get an early termination on probation so I can apply for citizenship?

Answered by attorney Andrew Stephen Roberts
DUI/DWI lawyer at Roberts Law Group
It is doubtful if you can terminate probation this early. Need about 2 1/2 to pass. All fines must be paid.

Will a judge allow me to attend DUI classes or a DUI charge that happened years ago or will I be facing jail time?

Hudson Thomas Bair
Answered by attorney Hudson Thomas Bair (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Kapsack & Bair, LLP
If you have a warrant, your probation period never ended, the Court still has jurisdiction to handle your case. If you completed everything except the DUI program, likely you will be ordered to attend and complete the program you failed to complete, the Judge may add a few days to your sentence for disrespecting the court but you shouldn't lose your job. You should speak to a DUI attorney in your area to determine what the Judges in your county do in cases like yours.

When did the 10 year DUI law come in effect?

Answered by attorney Edward Jerome Blum (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Office of Edward J. Blum
10 year. It's retroactive. There's a motion that he wouldn't have accepted the terms if he knew it was going to change to ten years. If he got a new DUI in 2014 it's more than ten years and counts as a first.
