Do I have to complete the DUI class to get my Driver's License back in California or just begin enrollment in the DUI class?

Answered by attorney Steven Jed Alpers (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Steven J. Alpers, A Professional Corporation
If this is a first dui you have to begin the classes to get your license back on a restricted basis. You must ultimately finish the classes and submit proof to the dmv to get the restriction (to and from work, in the course and scope of work and to the dui program) removed. If you drop out of the classes you will not get your license back until you finish the classes.

Would 0.03 of meth in my blood test be enough to give me a DUI?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
Any amount of meth in your system is enough for a DUI. However, it will depend on the accuracy of the blood work and the testing that they did. There may also be issues with the stop. Seek counsel from experience DUI attorney in your area.

It is likely that the prosecutor will file charges against you for being under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs and you need to ask these questions of your attorney and trust your attorney.
