What kind of recourse is there for a DUI offender to drive for practical purposes like work, with a revoked drivers license?

Answered by attorney Philip Daniel Hache
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Phil Hache
I would need to know more information to try to help you out. How many DUI convictions do you have, and when were they? All misdemeanors, or are there any felony DUI convictions? Are there any Refusal issues? Under 21 years old? Feel free to contact me and I can let you know about some possible options.

What will happen in court for my DUI?

Many things can happen. You don't have to answer incriminating questions. I definitely recommend hiring an attorney.

Can the driver get arrested if the passenger is drunk but the driver is sober?

Answered by attorney Reid M Hart (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Hart Law, PLLC
As long as the passenger is of legal drinking age, the driver should be fine. It may cause an officer to suspect a driver is impaired if they can tell the passenger has had too much to drink, but the driver is otherwise not at risk of arrest. That is the purpose of having a designated driver.
