Do DUI's from one state count against you when you get one in a different state?

Most states are reciprocal. That means convictions in other states will count against you unless the laws are substantially different. For example a state that has >10 BAC as the standard for OWI may not count a conviction from a stste that has .08 as the threshold. You are probably going to be charged with a felony by Michigan

Can I beat or plead down from an aggravated DUI case?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
The fact that you have a medical marijuana card is not a license to smoke and drive. I suspect that a blood test was taken. If so, what do the results state? If you have any marijuana in your system, you could very well be screwed. It would also be interesting to see the police officer's reports and the observed driving. My advice. get an attorney.

In CA the maximum sentence for first offense DUI is 6 months in jail. In my county the standard sentence for first offense is two days in jail.
