Should I find another lawyer or is this normal?

Answered by attorney Evan Austin Watson
DUI/DWI lawyer at Zeliff Watson Attorneys at Law
Jessica, You can always get a second opinion on your case.  If your lawyer is failing to communicate or giving you conflicting stories, that is not good.  Remember to, there is a statute of limitations in personal injury cases to file suit.  You want to make sure you have this date covered.   Evan

The short answer:  If the person is actually charged and convicted of a fourth DUI, it can be a felony punishable from one (1) to five (5) years in prison or on probation; 90 days in jail is the minimum, $1000 in fines minimum and up to additional $4,000 in fines. There are numerous other conditions that can aggravate the sentence including but not limited to: Defendant's driving record, children in the car, other convictions, prior probation violations, etc. etc.

If I was convicted of DUI in 2006 and another in May 2008, does that automatically disqualify me from getting a concealed weapons permit?

Typically it is felonies, not misdemeanors. So, I think you are fine to add firearms to your alcohol issues.
