Will DUI record cause me to fail C&F?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
This is a weird question. First, it assumes that you will complete law school. Second, it assumes that you will have no further criminal offenses, which is strange because I know how much drinking goes on in law school. Third, it assumes that you will pass the bar. No one knows the answers to the first three questions. In regards to the DUI telling the state bar about your character, the DUI's will be used against you. However, it may not prevent you from becoming an attorney. That is solely up to the state bar in your state.

What happens on the first violation of probation for a minor in possession?

It depends on the Judge. Every Judge is different. Some will put you in jail for a few days for "impact time." Others will extend your probation and let you off with a warning. If you get lucky and just get a warning, you will be fortunate. I would not do it again.
