Can a police officer sue me for saying yes when he asked me if I had been drinking?

Answered by attorney John F. Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
Yes, your admission can be used in court against you. The correct answer to a question from the police is either silence or a statement that you intend to remain silent exercising your constitutional rights. Once you speak you are going to be held accountable for what you said.

After revocation is up will I be able to obtain a license from another state and be able to legally drive without the interlock?

Answered by attorney Larry K. Dunn (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Weo Office Suites, LLC
Nevada, like all states, does not have authority to impose conditions in other states. However, most states recognize revocations and conditions imposed by other states. The state which issues the new license may impose the same conditions as Nevada even if the new state has different requirements.

You may also be charged with Child Endangerment. If you have not done so already, I suggest that you consult with an experienced criminal/DUI defense attorney as soon as possible.
