Is our marriage void if my wife was married at the time?

It is void as a bigamous marriage. You should annul the current marriage and, if it is your desire to marry, obtain a new marriage license and get married again. If you are in my area and are looking for an attorney, please contact me for a free consultation.

What should I do to ensure that my ex-husband will pay me for the house?

Answered by attorney James Timothy Weiner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at James T. Weiner, P.C.
I assume you are part owner and on the title.. Do NOT sign over title. If you are not on the title, have him file a mortgage on it in your favor (requires his signature), or file a claim of interest against the title to the house In either case make sure its in the final judgment that he owes you the money and payment terms.

Can I request to receive spouse support after 5 years of divorce being final?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney John E. Kirchner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at John E. Kirchner
The answer to your question requires both an examination of the final divorce order and knowledge of the state law where that order was entered. It is quite possible that it is too late to seek spousal support now if it wasn't ordered initially, but you need to consult an attorney in person to discuss the facts and your potential options.
