Yes, they can arrest you. No you can not refuse to go with them. If it happens, get an attorney and DO NOT discuss the issue with the police without that attorney being present.

Billing rates should be set in a retainer agreement. They ordinarily include staff rates as well as a rate for attorney time.

The first question is: why can't you afford the spousal support costs. The second is: what kind of an order requires you to pay them. If it's a settlement agreement you have to show unanticipated and substantial change in circumstances and you have to do so in the context of a plenary action in State Supreme Court.
