You are not required to have an attorney in a potentially stipulated divorce matter. However, you will be responsible for learning the local rules and making sure all documentation is prepared according to those local rules.

If the case is in bankruptcy, the court would enter an automatic stay. That can be lifted in domestic relations actions. If the divorce case was dismissed your attorney can either file a motion to reopen or refile the divorce.

See an attorney. You may need a restraining order. You do need to get the divorce done quickly. He could get support for Hal length of marriage but the judge could deny it based on what he took. Hurry up and get rid of him. He won't settle for anything reasonable. He was probably after your money all along.
