Am I entitled to anything being a stay at home mom with no job?

David J. Hutchinson
Answered by attorney David J. Hutchinson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at David J. Hutchinson
It depends totally on the history and situation. How long have you been a stay at home mom? Are you in that position because you and your spouse agreed that you should do that instead of working? Did your being a stay at home mom hinder a career that would otherwise have moved you forward? These are the questions to look at to see what, if anything, you might be entitled to in Spousal Support. Take all of your specifics to a good local lawyer. Good Luck.

What can I do if I am not happy with my attorney or the outcome?

File a complaint with the Bar Association. However, everything you say may be true and you may still have gotten everything that you could. Did you agree to settle because you wanted the matter to be over and done with? That tells the attorney you would rather be done than fight. Did you tell the attorney you wanted to fight for everything? Regardless, you need to let the Bar Association take a look at it.

Can a husband force the wife out of the house if she is not on the deed but it was quick deeded to her?

Answered by attorney Monica H. Donaldson Stewart
Divorce lawyer at Donaldson Stewart, P.C.
The husband's cheating is irrelevant, so no "proof" is needed. The rest of the question does not make sense - if the house was quitclaimed ("quick deeded") to the wife, then her name is on the deed and she has rights as an owner of the property. I recommend consulting with an attorney for further guidance.
