No. If he was not legally divorced when you got married, your marriage is null and void. You should consult with an attorney who practices in the county where you reside.

Will I be entitled to half of my husband’s monthly pension after 10 years of marriage?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
You are seeking a divorce? That portion of the pension which was acquired during the marriage could be half yours, but what he acquired before the marriage is not. For just a 10 year marriage you probably should not seek permanent periodic alimony. What you need to do is actually go see an attorney for advice.
