Can my husband and I use the same attorney in our divorce? Why?

An attorney can only represent one party to a divorce. Sometimes if the parties are on good terms, an attorney can meet with both parties to discuss resolution of the issues amicably; however, the attorney should make clear that he/she is only representing one party.

If you are on the lease you are liable. Otherwise there would have to be a contract, oral or written.

She is entitled to get her separate property inheritance out of the house but she has to trace the money used for downpayment and improvements. This is a dollar for dollar reimbursement without interest or appreciation.
