Is it a legal dissolution if my husband filed my name that was never legally my name?

It sounds to me like you are trying to play a game in which you are way out of your league. Did you accept service of a certified letter or personal service? Are you known by the name in the divorce document? Are you in the State of Ohio? Each of these questions can have an impact upon your question. Please retain legal counsel as soon as possible. Without counsel, any action you take on the above will be at your own peril.

How will alimony be computed when I divorce my wife?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Joanna Marie Mitchell (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Joanna Mitchell & Associates, P.A.
The mere fact that you make more money than her doesn't mean that she will necessarily get alimony. If she earns $50k per year, then she may not have the need for it, and with only a 13 year marriage (which is considered a moderate term marriage), she may not have the entitlement to it or may only be entitled to some assistance for a short period of time (like one or two years). You should consult with an attorney in order to best determine your potential rights and options.

If one person is on the mortgage and pays the mortgage and another person is on the deed, who owns the house? How?

Divorce lawyer at Diane L. Berger
The house would belong to the person on the deed. The other person might have done rights if the parties are or were married.
