The reason most people move out is to lessen the stress of the situation. Unless there has been domestic violence or threat of it, no one can force the other to move out. Moving out does not deprive anyone of his/her rights concerning the children. If you two are going to proceed I suggest you see a family law attorney in your community for at least an initial consultation to make sure your rights are protected. Good luck

Who is entitled to the truck after the divorce?

The truck is probably community property, meaning each of you is entitled to ? its value. Either one of you gets the equivalent in other community assets or it is sold and the proceeds divided.

How does spousal support work?

Answered by attorney James F. Lentz (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at James F. Lentz Attorney & Counselor at Law
In Michigan and Ohio spousal support is not automatic it is at the discretion of the court.Your circumstances sound as if they MAY warrant support, but given the short term of your marriage it probably would not be for a long period of time. And again, support determination be it temporary or permanent is up to the judge. As this is a local issue, please consult with a local family law practitioner about your rights and concerns.
