Can a court force the method of communication

Sherri A. Murgallis
Answered by attorney Sherri A. Murgallis (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Murgallis Law Firm, LLC
Yes, the Court can mandate parents use Talking Parents for communication.  It can also specify a time frame within which communication must be answered.  If the Court does include such provisions in an Order, failure to abide by the Order could result in contempt of Court.   Sherri Murgallis Murgallis Law Firm, LLC 303-444-4353

Does having an annulment of a marriage make the record itself as though it never existed?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney John E. Kirchner (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at John E. Kirchner
An annulment normally doesn't result in erasing official state records, so there is probably another explanation. You will need to consult the government agency in your state that issued the marriage license to start looking for an explanation.

Is it true that I can't get the house if it's in my name but my husband helped me with the down payment and the loan?

Answered by attorney Mark Alan Brown (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Wolfstone, Panchot & Bloch, P.S., Inc.
Under Washington community property law, the contribution of separate property (i.e., pre-martial assets) or community monies or labor after marriage to the separate property residence of a spouse can create a "lien" on the separate property residence and a claim to reimbursement. It depends on the specific facts and circumstances of your case. I recommend that you consult with a specialist who practices in the county in which you reside.
