Do I just need to put my married name on everything even though I’m separated?

You should use one name for all purposes. As you have seen, using different names gets confusing and some government agencies won't accept it. So, decide what name you want to use, and systematically change it with every agency that has you under the different name. It doesn't matter whether you're married, separated or divorced.

How do I switch to a court appointed lawyer

Kristen Prata Browde
Answered by attorney Kristen Prata Browde (Unclaimed Profile)

You can't get a court appointed lawyer unless you are indigent...and even then there may be restrictions. If you want to try you can ask the court clerk or pro se office for assistance.
