Can I submit divorce papers to the court without my husband's signature?

Answered by attorney Robert L Willis (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Do It Yourself Divorce, PLLC
You can file a Complaint for Divorce (and other documents if you have children) in court without an attorney and without a signature from your husband. Once filed the court's procedural process starts and you will be required file the necessary documents timely and correctly. You will be responsible for serving your husband and you will be required to draft a Judgment of Divorce. All of this can be done without and attorney and without your husband's consent.

What does a military personal have to pay child support on?

Under Arizona caselaw, BAH (I think that's the correct term?) is included as income for child support purposes.

What options do I have to file for divorce?

Borrow money or use a credit card to file for divorce and for a hearing asking for spousal support and for him to be ordered to pay fees. He's been controlling the money and has a business. This case does not sound like it'll be straightforward as there will be discovery to be done and a business to value and divide. There also sounds like there are minor children so he will have to pay child support. Financial control like this is another form of abuse/domestic violence.
