You can file for divorce in CA. Or if he files and serves you first you will have to get an attorney in Georgia and Georgia law will apply.

You've been supporting his addiction for years. Time to move on with your life. Yes you may have to pay alimony. The court will order him to make job contacts if you file your motion and maybe you'll have to do a vocational evaluation on him but at least you won't be liable for accidents caused by him drinking and driving. The extra years you stayed meant extra time you may be paying alimony. Staying longer only gives him more rights to your hard earned money.

What are my rights in divorcing my husband if I’m on disability due to depression?

You have the right to divorce your husband. The only information the court will want is whether there are irreconcilable differences. Depending on the length of your marriage and the relative income of each of you, there should be a spousal support award to you. If he quits his job to avoid paying spousal support and that can be proven, the court will impute income to him equal to what he can reasonably earn in the industry in which he is employed and there will still be a spousal support order. If he has no job you might not be able to collect because he would have no job. Hope this helps.
