The Texas law requires a period of 30 days. You may check Florida law to see if it is different. I suggest you hire a lawyer.

In Sacramento County, the courts file a dismissal of cases after five years if the courts have sufficient staff to handle housekeeping matters. You and your husband have time to think things over. If you decide to go forward check with the court to see if your case number is still active. Good luck to you both.
