A legal Mexican marriage will be recognized in the U.S. You can file for divorce in the U.S. and seek the benefits and protections of US law, including property division, spousal and child support depending on your circumstances. See an attorney to find out what your rights are.

Am I entitled to anything if I divorce him if he is cheating, we make equal amounts of money and we have a kid?

Answered by attorney David Ari Goldberg
Divorce lawyer at The Goldberg Legal Group
California is a no fault divorce state. You do not receive anything extra in a divorce just based on the fact that he is cheating.

If she served you with a summons and petition, then you need to file a response and serve her with it and with all your financials. When you do a summary dissolution, you do it together, at the same time, so that doesn't look like you can do that now.
