How will refinanced and holds no equity property be handled during my divorce in California?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Steven Jed Alpers (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Steven J. Alpers, A Professional Corporation
If there is no equity then I am not sure why it would be an issue. The only issue would be the source of the money to purchase the property. That may result in a claim of community funds being used and negate the presumption of separate property.
