Will I get anything if my husband divorces me for cheating?

Answered by attorney Dean Michael Esposito

The fact that you committed adultery has absolutely no bearing on the division of community property. You still get one-half.

Got married in South Africa in 1982 - living in US since 1996 - Colorado since 2008

Yes. You just need to have resided in Colorado for more than 90 days prior to filing (and minor children would need to have been here for more than 6 months in general). We offer flat fee uncontested divorces by a Colorado attorney starting at $795 if you would like help with the process, document preparation and guidance to ensure that you are getting the agreements right, are getting a fair deal and are getting done as fast as possible. I hope this helps.

Can a court force the method of communication

Sherri A. Murgallis
Answered by attorney Sherri A. Murgallis (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Murgallis Law Firm, LLC
Yes, the Court can mandate parents use Talking Parents for communication.  It can also specify a time frame within which communication must be answered.  If the Court does include such provisions in an Order, failure to abide by the Order could result in contempt of Court.   Sherri Murgallis Murgallis Law Firm, LLC 303-444-4353
