Hired Attorney

We hired Ms. Alvarez to handle a homeowner insurance property damage claim. Her handling of the case was less than poor. She is nonresponsive and barely provided any updates on the case. After 3 years, and days away from our assigned court date, she arbitrarily dismissed the case and re-opened a new one without consulting us. She then gave us a reason for the dismissal she was not able to provide us with evidence. Under the new case, we went through mediation where we learned there were offers made by the insurance company in the first case that were never presented nor discussed with us. The attorney representing us in mediation (which was not her) had no detailed knowledge of our case. We ended up settling the case for less than the last offer the insurance had made in the original case.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
