What should I do if police want to talk to me about talking to a minor?

A little free advice: exercise the 5th Amendment right to SHUT UP and do NOT talk to police or anyone about the case except with and through an attorney. Yes, if they identify you, and if the parent files a criminal complaint, you can be charged.

Oh, come on that's just BS - you knew.In any event, it is a simple fix and in North Carolina you do not need to be present if you retain an attorney to resolve these type of matters for you. As to what kind of trouble - DWLR carries a max. of 120 days in jail plus a possible fine in North Carolina.

What happens if someone filed a false domestic violence report against potential police officer?

Answered by attorney Gabriel Eric Dorman (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Gabriel Dorman
Wow. This sounds terrible. It is a crime itself to falsely report a crime. So if she made the report to the police you can request that she be charged with filing a false police report. As for your job, you should consult with a civil attorney about filing an action against this person. It would seem that you are going to lose wages and, potential, this job as a result of her false accusations. These are real damages.
