What happens if I am arrested for public intoxication?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Did you already plead guilty to PI to det out? If not, then hire an attorney to fight it. If you did plead guilty hire an attorney and they have to file a writ within 10 days of your plea to get your case back alive and then fight it. You don't want a PI on your record.

Will m my mom get reinstated on probation?

Richard Keith Oliver
Answered by attorney Richard Keith Oliver (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Office of Rick Oliver
With the information provided, there's no way for anyone to tell you whether your Mom will be reinstated. But, if she was reset from the 6th to the 9th, what she should be doing is as much community service as she can possibly do. If she can catch up, great. If not, she can at least go to court and demonstrate that she is making an effort, and that she should not be revoked. If that's the only violation she has, it should help. The worst thing she can do is nothing. Also, she should not go into court and attempt to explain why she didn't get it done. I've never seen a judge respond well to that.

Should I cancel a polygraph test?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
The lawyer needs to evaluate the situation and determine whether you should take the polygraph. I understand you say it is a false allegation but there is an allegation. If it involves a claim of a sexual assault of a child (which is often when polygraphs come into play), they intend to not only give you the polygraph but to interview you and try to get you to confess and to make statements that may later come back to haunt you. This could apply in other types of allegations, too. Lawyer up first.
