How do I find a lawyer for little to no cost if i make a little to much for a public defender and can they tri me with out one if i cant afford one?

You should call around and ask some lawyers if they take payment plans.  Some lawyers will accept credit cards, down payments, or other fee structures that make it easier to get a lawyer working on your case.  Depending on what area you are in, there can be a wide variety of arrangements you can make for payments. If that does not work you might want to re-apply for a public defender and tell them who you have talked to and why you cannot afford to hire anyone.     There are also services like AVLF (The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation) who may be able to point you in the right direction for getting someone to take your case pro-bono (free of charge).

Can I get a copy of my docket sheet if the record is already sealed?

You should go to each Criminal Court where you had a criminal case and get a Certificate of Disposition, which will state the crime you were charged with, and also the final outcome, or disposition of the criminal case. If a particular case was sealed, there will be a big black stamp that says SEALED on the Certificate of Disposition. If you were represented by private defense counsel, you will have to pay $10 for each Certificate of Disposition. In Brooklyn Criminal Court, you will go to the 5th floor to get these documents.
