What would happen if I cash a $1980 check that I received and the company want me to take a fee for myself and sent the rest?

It's a scam. You can be charged with a crime for cashing the check. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is. This is one of those cases. Good luck.

promissory note is a contract to pay.. if you dont pay, they can sue you for the money... without it, they have no easy remedy to make you pay... At this time all they can do is sue you for the amount and get a judgement, but that is it.....really cant make you pay unless you have some assets they can go after... Your case has been dismissed so the criminal case is over.. and you should be looking at getting the case sealed.....

What are the consequences for a violation of misdemeanor probation?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
Probation violation can result in revocation of probation and return to jail to serve the full balance of time originally sentenced. It is up to her attorney to argue and negotiate for her restoration of probation at the court hearing.
