Why is it taking me so long to see a judge when I got arrested for probation violation?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
Because you are there on a probation violation. You committed a crime (1st problem). You received probation on the crime, rather than jail (2nd problem). Then you could not comply with probation (3rd problem). SO, there is no rush to get to you.

You need to hire a criminal defense attorney before they pick you up for violation of probation. We can do something swifter than the system by setting a hearing with your judge.

What are the statue of limitations on breaking and entering?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Keeley D Blanchard (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Blanchard Law
The statute of limitations for breaking and entering is 6 years. However, if there were people in the home at the time of the breaking an entering, that would make it a home invasion in the first degree, which would have a statute of limitations of ten years. Additionally, there are certain circumstances that can toll or extend the statute of limitations.
