This is not like an incorrect postal delivery. When the company realizes that you have received the money, they will want their money back. You do not get to profit from other people's mistakes like that.

How does one dismiss an assault causes bodily injury family violence charge?

Criminal Law lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
Once a police report has been made, the allegations and charges are sent to the District Attorney to determine whether to file charges with the court. The decision to file charges, reduce charges, prosecute a case or dismiss a case is solely at the discretion of the District Attorney or Prosecuting Attorney. If the "victim" or "complainant" wishes to have the charges dropped or dismissed, he/she should talk with the D.A. However, the final decision will be up to the D.A.

Can I be finger printed for and charged with a gun that is not mine?

Answered by attorney Amanda Bowden Johnson
Criminal Law lawyer at The Houser Law Firm, P.C.
Obviously, if you were finger printed and charged then you know the answer - yes, you can be finger printed for and charged with a gun that is not yours. Of course, the question I'd be concerned about is whether or not I'd be convicted.
