Can police show a search warrant after they search the house?

Answered by attorney Dennis Julian Roberts (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Dennis Roberts A Professional Corporation
What do you mean by"execute" - that they only showed you the warrant then or that the warrant was dated then. If they only showed it to you then, so what. If it was executed after the search get a lawyer.

Does a cop have to read me my rights if I was put in cuffs but I did not go to jail?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
If you are in custody, which means more than just being cuffed, and you were interrogated, then any inculpatory statements you made in response to questioning without being warned are inadmissible. If you were being investigated, even if in cuffs, then it is questionable whether your rights were required yet.

How much time would my son get for a probation violation?

Answered by attorney Steven Fairlie
Criminal Law lawyer at Fairlie & Lippy, P.C.
I have almost the same case on the same date in Montgomery County. I am not sure what your son's original offense was, but there are also a ton of other factors that go into this like who the Judge is, how long it was before he violated, any other violations, etc. You need to talk with a good lawyer familiar with all the facts to get a good estimate.
