You either pay the money, or you have your probation revoked, and you go to prison. When you are in prison, your SSI benefits are suspended.

It depends on which court your case is being prosecuted in, but it's very likely that an experienced attorney can get your charge reduced to "Littering," or at the very least, get you on probation with an SIS (suspended imposition of sentence).
