It is extremely important that you hire an attorney skilled in defending domestic violence cases. You must get this case dismissed. A domestic violence conviction could be very detrimental to your immigration case.

Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
Ask your PO, his is the only opinion that counts. You do realize that marijuana is now, and for decades has been, illegal under federal law, despite the PC fiction of medical MJ cards in CA? Therefore, you are asking him if you can use an illegal drug while on probation.

Is there a statute of limitations on theft?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Joseph Briscoe Dane (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Joe Dane
The statute of limitations has to do with how long the prosecution has to file charges. Warrants don't expire, but there may be a way for his attorney to get the case dismissed because of the passage of time.
