If I post bond for my son who is in the military, in jail here, will they take my house when he leaves the state to go back to his military base?

You must make sure that the bail bondsman and court know that he is returning to military service when he has posted bail. Then there will not be violation of conditions of bail.

If I unknowingly sold alcohol to a minor can I be charged or will my employer be charged?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
They usually just bust you right there and arrest you so sounds like you got real lucky. Anyways, if they bust you it would be you and not the store owner. The owner could get a ticket, but you get arrested and criminally charged. But sounds like you got real lucky.

How long do I have to press sexual assault charges after an assault has occurred?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Larry K. Dunn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Weo Office Suites, LLC
It is never "too late" to report a sexual assault. The law treats sexual assault charges differently from other types of crimes and "late" reporting is not uncommon given the young age of the victims. Whether the perpetrator can be prosecuted depends on several factors which the police and prosecutor will review. Reporting the crime may also lead to the discovery of other victims.
