Answered by attorney Gregory J. Panzo

In Florida you have to serve 85% of your total sentence. While you will receive Gain Time Earned which should put you in a postition where you serve less than 18 months, you are still required to serve 85% of your prison sentence. You cannot serve less than 85% of your sentence.
