You are on class A trespass to a habitation probation and you committed a theft? You could be revoked and receive up to 1 year in prison for the probation case, as well as receive some kind of sentence for the theft case (which could be filed as a theft or possibly even as a possession of a narcotic or controlled substance, depending on the meds.

Is it legal for the police to conduct a vehicle search?

Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of John W. Bussman
The rules surrounding vehicle searches are incredibly complicated and nuanced, so it would probably take a few hours to explain them all here. Long story short, you don't have standing to assert an unlawful search unless the cops found something that you shouldn't have had. Were you arrested and charged with possession of Antivert? If not, what's the problem?

Was the arrest legal?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
There are several issues. The arrest may have been done with insufficient probable cause and proof of a crime is questionable. A motion to suppress is the first step.
